Floyd Lee's second album, "Ain't Doin' Nothin' Wrong", is his second release on Joel Poluck's Amogla label. This time around Floyd contributes guitar & harmonica to the proceedings as well as his distinct vocal skills. Recorded in Aug 2002 in Brooklyn's Bedford Studios the 15 tracks feature 3 Floyd Lee originals, 9 Joel Poluck compositions and 3 tributes (2 to Jimmy Reed, 1 to Elmore James). As on his previous Amogla release, Floyd is ably accompanied here by Joel Poluck's guitar & George Papageorge's B3. The rhythm section of Mike Fox (drums) & Brad Vickers (bass) are one of the steadiest units operating anywhere today and help substantially in making "Ain't Doin' Nothin' Wrong" a classy piece of work. |
